National Network for Refugee Support & Inclusion (NRSI)
which includes the four partner associations in the project, which are:
1) Sawaedna Charitable Foundation - Alexandria
2) Menna Allah Foundation - Giza
3) Big Heart Association - Cairo
4) Thawab Development Foundation - Aswan
The network aims to enhance coordination and cooperation between partner associations, exchange experiences and good practices, and develop joint work mechanisms in a way that contributes to improving the quality of services provided to migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and their families.
During the project implementation period, 6 periodic network meetings were held during which members discussed a number of priority topics, most notably:
• Preparing a map of services available to support refugees in the targeted governorates.
• Develop referral and coordination mechanisms between member associations and relevant partner entities.
• Develop a framework and strategic plan to organize the network’s work and sustain its role.
• Strengthening the commitment of network members to protection and preservation policies and ensuring a safe environment for beneficiaries.
• Activating mutual visits between associations to exchange experiences and benefit from successful experiences in providing services to refugees.
• Discuss the common challenges facing institutions working with refugees and search for more effective solutions and response mechanisms.
• Review the opportunities available for joint cooperation and build partnerships that support refugee services and host communities.
This network is an important step towards building a more integrated and coordinated model among civil society organizations working in the field of supporting refugees, which contributes to enhancing their access to basic services, improving the quality of interventions provided to them, and achieving a more sustainable development impact in the targeted communities.
